  • Self Advocate Panel-  expressing self advocates' needs and desires for real homes in the community
  • Community Housing Advocates Panel– looking at community housing and homelessness initiatives, addressing the human right to housing, and advocacy to make that right a reality, with a view toward exploring and building linkages with people with developmental disabilities and their families.
  • Michael Prince – Keynote - provincial and federal policy analysis and implications related to housing, funding and homes, looking at the systemic factors in achieving inclusive homes.

  • Doug Woollard  - discussing how systems can support innovation in housing and homes.
  • Family Leadership Panel – the critical role of family leadership and the family movement in envisioning, advocating, building and creating home.

Making a House a Home – concurrent break-out sessions

  • Individualized Funding – National Task Force on Individualized Funding looks at research and progress across Canada and around the world.
  • Best Practices in Shared Living – agency perspectives on creative and innovative approaches and models for supporting individuals to have a real life in community in homes of their own.
  • Rolling With Change – possibilities and challenges as families adapt to and plan for change.

The Journey Home- How Do We Find Home in Community?
 

  • Plenary Community Café – designed to look at our learning over the previous 2 days and inspire action when we return home.
